Location of the Casa Chaikoni Center

The centre is located in the Peruvian Amazon, next to the city of Iquitos, at km 22 of the Iquitos-Nauta road in the Allpahuayo-Mishana Reserve.

Iquitos is the largest city in the world not connected by road to the rest of the country,

It can only be reached by plane or boat.

It is bordered by three rivers: the Amazon, the largest river in the world, the Nainai and the Itaya.

Nicknamed "Isla Bonita" (Beautiful Island) due to its isolation in the middle of the ocean of forest that surrounds it.

From the airport, a motorcycle taxi will take you about 30 minutes on the paved road, then 15 minutes on the track that leads to the center, just before the Nueva Esperanza community.
