Ayahuasca, Chacruna, Ajos Quiru, Chiric Sanango, Sanango, Toe, Chuchuwacha, Tamamuri, Huimba, Huaca Purana, Una de Gato, Huassai, Ayahuma, Pinion Colorado, Marosa, Chicuru, Remo Caspi, Boa Huasca, Renaquilla, Renako Chulla Caspi, Motelo Huasca, Huairuru...

We still have many others that you will have the pleasure of discovering when you come.

Ayahuasca

The Ayahuasca we use is either wild, sourced from the forest, or locally grown from plantations in the central area or village.

We prioritize the locally grown to preserve the surrounding primary forests.

Among the various types of Ayahuasca, we predominantly use Cielo, Roja, and Puma, as these are the most medicinal.

The Ayahuasca is prepared by Isabel and her sons, who were taught from a young age by their father and grandparents.

Their invaluable knowledge allows us to have a very special medicine of high quality that has been passed down through generations.

You can observe the process in the accompanying photos:

The vine we use is carefully selected based on its age and growth location. It is then cut into sections of 30 to 50 cm to be crushed with a hammer. This action helps to defibrillate the vine so that its essence is best extracted during cooking. It is then placed in a pot along with the locally grown Chacruna leaves, also from Isabel's garden, and cooked with spring water from the land.

We do not add any other plants during the cooking of the Ayahuasca.

This cooking process lasts about a day and a half to produce a ready-to-drink medicine for the ceremony. From approximately 140/150 liters of water, only 3 liters remain, containing the essence of the two plants.

You will likely have the opportunity to witness this process during your stay, as it is carried out approximately every week.
